Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix displayed an early talent in sports as she was taking classes at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She was able to see her speed-running ability at the at the time. In only 10 weeks following her first attempt, Felix finished second in the 200 meter race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix was a senior in high school and signed a professional deal with the sports organization Adidas before enrolling at the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal in 2004 at the Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. She set an Junior World Record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. Felix became the world's youngest winner in the 200m at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007, beating the long-time Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at the Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo always finishing in the top three places in all her races.
