Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained minister from the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix displayed an early talent for athletics when she was attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. She was able to see her speed-running talent at that at the time. After only 10 weeks after the first time she tried, she placed second in the 200-meter race on the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003 signed the sports contract with Adidas. She then attended in the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. One year later Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting the world junior record doing 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest world champion in the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She always finished within the top three places of every event.
